Home Transcription Companies
I will list a resource of home transcription companies; that is transcription companies that use the services of independent contractors/virtual assistants to outsource their transcription to. These are either companies that I have had contact with, have worked with or have found in my research. It would go without saying that home transcription companies would outsource only to experienced typists or transcribers with a previous work history, top typing skills/speed, broadband internet connection and quick turnaround capabilities (ie: most jobs have a 24 hour turnaround). I will list companies by country, but some use international transcribers, so it doesn't matter where they are situated. Some transcription companies listed are specifically medical transcription outsourcing companies for medical transcription contractor jobs only or legal only, etc.
I update the home transcription companies page often, so do check back periodically. If you are a home based transcriptionist then this page is essential reading.
