Adsense is Dead – Long Live Adsense…..
You may have read recently that a number of so called “gurus’s” claiming that Adsense is dead and that it is no longer possible to make money from it. I find it strange that this misconception is still being trawled around. I think that it stems from the fact that many people don’t understand Adsense and it’s application and are probably people who have had their fingers burned in the past. The value of Sales on the Internet is expanding exponentionally each year and is currently worth over $100 billion – large multi national companies with large advertising budgets are allocating more funds to Internet marketing than ever before – which means that there will be more and more opportunities to take advantage of the possibilities of Adsense Revenue. There are a number of misconceptions regarding Adsense and you can often find people who instantly generate 100’s of adsense pages using automated software – submit them to Search Engines using automated software and then use Blogs and Articles and mass submit using – yes you guessed it – automated software and then they complain that with all that real estate out there, that they only earn a few cents a day. With the sheer volume of searches that may take place on a particular keyword it’s no surprise to me to find that you will still find people who have started Adwords campaigns with a $500 budget only to find that it has been frittered away in a few hours with no results. Like any business venture you must understand the market, how it works and what makes it tick – then, it’s an old adage but still relevant –Plan Your Work and Work your Plan. With the thousands of Internet opportunities that are being broadcast each day, promising how easy it is to earn thousands of dollars, it is very tempting to think that you can earn large sums with just a few hours work each day. Basically, forget it – it just isn’t going to happen – yes -there are a few very talented people out there who do huge product launches to their massive mailing lists – they hype the product and have hundreds of affiliates ready from day one – but do you have the skills and finance to do that – very unlikely!. What you can do however, is to start by learning to utilize some very proven techniques and hone your skills in one particular area and then expand using the expertise you have gained. Adsense allows you to do this since technically it is possible to start your venture with a few hundred dollars – if you are new to Adsense, don’t know how to build a webpage or don’t understand HTML – then there will be a learning curve to go through – if you are already au fait with these tools then it will be an easy task to implement this blueprint. If you are new – then don’t worry – it may sound daunting at first – but there are plenty of resources available on the Net, most of them free, which will help you through the process
In the next few pages you will learn how to research a niche market, establish it’s viability and profitability and then build optimized web pages for correct submission to the search engines. You will find that it is much better, not to say easier, to do it correctly, to not try and fool the search engines but to make it easier for them to give us what we want. The benefit is that you will make more money on average for each web site that you build.
WHAT IS ADSENSE?
Google AdSense is an ad-serving program that places contextual ads ie., ads that “make sense” – and specifically, that make sense based on relevant content, and assumptions about who might be interested in that content. These Ads are paid for by the Sponsor and then are displayed, at no cost to you, on your webpage/s. AdSense is an application of the broader concept of Contextual Marketing. Contextual Marketing is just what it sounds like. On a website about golfing, for instance, you would expect to find an ad for golf clubs or golf training. On a website about fashion, you might have an ad for clothing, jewellery and make up. Contextual Marketing just means supplying the ad serving with the context/nature of the website and its audience, the same way like items are grouped in a store. So what’s in it for you – as the owner of the website/ website publisher? That’s easy. Every time a visitor to your site clicks one of these ads, you make money. The better the ads are targeted, the more clicks you get, the more money you make. AdSense displays easy-to-read, text-based, relevant ads that don’t overshadow the content of your website or annoy visitors. Actually, you have seen hundreds of these ads yourself, as you’ll realize in a moment. At this point I will introduce Google Adwords – In it’s simplest form , Google AdWords are the small text ads that are displayed on the side of the search results in Google. These ads are contextual of course – in this case the context is the search terms you entered. The ads will be served based on what you’re looking for. You will have seen them on each and every result of a search you make in Google. So if you made a general search for golf you will find golf related ads on the right of the page. So the advertiser pays for his ads to be displayed and is billed only when they are actually clicked on – if you are displaying his ads on your website and one of your visitors clicks on his ad you get paid a portion of the money that he is charged for his ad. . How does this generate money for Google and the advertisers? Google AdWords works on a model known as pay-per-click. When someone clicks on an AdWords ad, the advertiser of that ad has to pay Google a certain amount. We say “certain amount” because that amount is different all the time and is subject to market forces – in this case, bidding. Something has to determine the placement of those ads, and what determines it is how much the advertiser offers to pay per click. When you submit this kind of ad to Google, you submit it with a bid – which is compared to other bids for similar keywords. It’s an auction style process. Similar to Page Ranking the position of the ad on the page is determined by the amount that is bid, ie, the highest bidder gets the No1 position – if he wishes to retain the top position then he must bid more. Once you join the AdSense program – and Google approves your site or sites – the actual process of displaying ads on your website is extremely simple. You are provided with a small HTML script, which you can paste anywhere on your webpage. You may paste this code any number of times and on multiple pages, and watch the ads get served! Google automatically places AdWords ads that are most relevant, from its extensive advertiser base. Google employs various sophisticated algorithms to determine the relevancy of the ads to your content.
There are more in depth books available which will give you more information about maximizing your Google adsense and I would recommend that you read them but in the meantime here are a few quick do’s and don’ts Do’s The first rule of using AdSense is to follow their terms of service. Google has exceptional monitoring ability, and if they find any violation of their TOS, your account will be suspended and you will find it difficult, if not impossible, to get re-instated. Having a number of informative pages about varying topics but with a consistent theme for your website. That way you will have more ads to choose from and you will maximize your CTR. Use keywords to your advantage. Higher paying keywords will usually but not always yield more rewards. Think relevance. Also use variations of keywords for added advantage. Provide unique information on your web pages. The more specific the content of your website is, the more targeted your ads will be, and the more effective. Always focus on providing good quality information! - you want your visitors to not only click on your ads but return to your site as well. Experiment with various ad formats on your web page and choose those that suite your website. You can choose to display ads with different formats on one page.
Do's 1.Position your ad block in such a way that the ad is visible and yet it does not put off the readers. 2.Use the Google AdSense preview toolbar to your advantage and see how the ads will appear on your website. 3.Get a hands-on feel of how the visitor to your website will view your web page. 4.Use Google channels and other external tracking software to evaluate your site’s performance on a daily basis
Don’ts 1.Do not resort to fraudulent or deceptive means for generating clicks on your ads. Some of the methods that are prohibited by Google AdSense are: 1. Automated clicking programs 2. Repeated manual clicks 3. Using robots to generate clicks 4. Clicking your own ads 5. Tricking your visitors into clicking on your ads by using fraudulent means
Ideally, your ad should look and feel like a part of your website. Don’t have broken links on your site. Your website should not contain any broken links and should be easily navigable. Also, the content on your web pages should be informative, of high quality and the ads should be relevant to the content. Don’t have old or illegal information on your site. Be careful about outdated information, plagiarized text and obscene or offensive material. Avoid using any of these on your web pages. Finally, remember that Google are the best at what they do and they are very rarely fooled, if ever at all, so don’t take any risks and keep within the guidelines and TOS. If you’re unsure you can contact them and even send them a sample of your page/site etc for their prior approval. Don’t look on them as the enemy – they’re going to become one of your best friends and keep a constany flow of money to your Bank So how exactly are you going to make money out of all this? You earn a share of the pay-per-click amount, every time a visitor clicks on the ad. The beauty of this business is that it is simple to setup, ads can be displayed within minutes, there is a simple yet sophisticated management system that lets you control all aspects of your campaigns. So you just need to get ads on your site… So how do I start to make money……… The concept of the Plan is to start to build an Adsense Empire by laying solid foundations and then building floor by floor upon them. So you start with one website and when it’s earning money you just go ahead and build another and then another and so on. Since the websites will be fairly simple but highly targeted and optimized they can be created quickly – in fact – when you have some experience under your belt, it is possible to research a keyword, establish it’s profitability, build a website in less than a day. Since we will be doing manual submissions, let’s say, for instance, that we create one a week {your first one should be done within that timeframe} and that we can earn $10 a day from it, some you will earn much more from and some less, but assuming that figure is reasonable then that site can earn you $70 a week, at the end of the month you will then have four sites all earning $280. OK – at this point you might not be jumping up and down with excitement but it is realistic and more importantly – it’s achievable!! At the end of three months let’s say you’ve now got 12 sites – they’ve now earned you just over $3,600; then at the end of six months you’ve now got 24 sites which are earning you $240 EACH DAY!! – that’s $1,680 each week – at the end of the year your 48 sites will be earning you $13,000 odd a week – and that projection is on the low side because when you’ve been at it a while you will complete a whole project much quicker than a week – and $10 is on the low side too – it is possible to regularly make $20 to $30 per page. Plus you can further monetize your sites by adding affiliate earnings and your own products. Some people have created literally hundreds of pages – one acquaintance of mine, a well known internet Marketer has over 400 web sites based on Adsense alone. SO YES YOU CAN DO IT!!!! This is a calculation used by Michael Rasmussen in his well respected book “Adsense Revenue Exposed” on potential earnings from an Adsense page…. Clickthrough Value….. 30 cents or $0.30 (The advertiser pays 30 cents per click for the Ad, to Google) Payout Rate…… 50% or 0.5 (This is an assumption based on what many experts believe to be the current rate for most deals) Clickthrough rate of the Ad…. the ad is displayed 100 times within the day and clicked by 9 people…. the clickthrough rate would be 0.09 Webpage traffic… 150 visitors during the days - Frequency of Ad 100
The Income per day from a single ad would be = 0.30 * 0.5 * 0.09 * 150 * 100 = $202.5
That revenue can be achieved and is being achieved by a few experienced people who have found a profitable niche to exploit and then do it properly. You will see that my estimate of $20 to $30 per day per site is much more conservative and to someone starting anew or with little knowledge is more realistic. The first part of the equation starts with finding a niche, So now we find ourselves at the “Niche” point of the book – for some strange reason many people seem to be so afraid that they will never be able to find a niche to promote – yet it is the simplest part of the overall equation to solve. This is not going to be a long tome on “Finding a Niche” or “Keyword Research”. I personally use Keyword Elite and yes that is an affiliate link and yes it isn’t the cheapest in the marketplace but it is the best one. You can certainly do the research manually but if you’re not prepared to invest a small amount towards your future success then you are putting stumbling blocks in front of you already. What other business actually offers you the chance of earning thousands of dollars per year with a start up of a few hundred dollars? What Keyword Elite does is it automates the research process and through a process of elimination then leads you through a number of projects which at the end gives you a highly relevant keyword list. I don’t want to sound like I’m really pushing KE but apart from it’s unique features there is a forum, of which I’m a member, which is worth its weight in gold. Not only is there over 90 hours of tuitional videos and podcasts, there is so much talent and experience there and they’re always willing to offer advice. If you’re new to Adsense {and even if you’re not} then these videos are invaluable as they don’t only deal with KE but fully explain the ins and outs of Adsense. I’ll cover a few more points later how Keyword Elite can not only save you time and money but it will automate parts of the process and more importantly – can offer you information on competitors ad campaigns. If you’re serious about making money with Adsense I really do recommend that you go out and buy it – you won’t regret it!
There are millions of pages on the web offering support on finding niches and keywords, there are tools out there which are free to help you to assess and evaluate keywords. Keyword Country at www.keywordcountry.com is a web based research tool which you can pay for either yearly or monthly and they do have a free trial or pay for a days use. They have an extensive advanced search tool which you can use to search for any niche just based on the value of the keyword.
It really is so simple and there are literally millions of niches out there just waiting to be discovered – if you’re not convinced then I will quickly outline two very simple ways of finding a niche market in less than five minutes..
This first way is slightly different to our normal approach as you will select your niche first and then search for keywords. So go to Commission Junction at www.cj.com - it’s similar to Clickbank and lists all affiliate programmes that you can join and earn commissions on sales. It’s free to join so just go to the register section and sign up. Once you’re logged in click on “Get Links” in the upper page menu. There you will see a directory of all the advertisers that are selling products on CJ and they’re sorted into categories. Click on a category that you are already interested in or that piques your interest and then that will give you a list of all the advertisers in that category. Then sort it by 3 monthly EPC {earnings per click} and you will get the average affiliate revenue that that advertiser generates for every 100 customers that are sent to him. Obviously you will look for the highest earners as those merchants will probably have the most professional websites - you’re not trying to sign up for their affiliate programme {although you certainly should if you’re pushing traffic to them}- you can then visit those websites and look for any interesting niches. Having now identified a merchant all we need to do is by click on the name you will be shown more details of that merchant – all we need is his website at this stage.
The second method takes advantage of the Google Keyword tool which can be found at www.google.com - go to the page and click on the “Site Related Keyword” Tab and in the field “Enter URL” put in the following address http://www.wikipedia.org – then from the drop down list choose “Cost and position estimates” – select a currency and enter a reasonably high cost per click value ie., $50. Then just click “Get Keywords” and the results will open up lower in the page. When they appear you have the options of how they are displayed - so sort them by “Estimated Average CPC” and you will have the highest paying keywords in descending order. You can type in the URL for any new/directory type site that is “link” rich such as www.news.google.com At this stage I would then use KE to evaluate the profitability of any of those high paying keywords displayed. I read recently that someone using this method identified a niche which, despite being highly topical and therefore probably short lived, he established that it was profitable but due to it’s possible short life interest didn’t want to put a lot of effort into promoting it. Within two hours he had done a little further research, set up a two page website, set up a quick blog and then wrote two articles which were mass submitted – within an hour he was getting hits and went on to earn over a thousand dollars in less than a week. Not bad for a few hours work!! If you’re still stuck for niches then just google it and you will find plenty of free sites giving you info on the top 50 or so niches – it really isn’t difficult.
You will often find that people say to start with something that you know about and is maybe a hobby -I don't agree - you may be an authority on your Clothes Hangar collection and have the best in the world but will you attract customers - NO! - go where the market is already established and there's competition because people are spending money there, and that's what we want!!
OK – so now you have a niche area complete with relevant keywords and the next piece of the puzzle is building a website. There are a number of free resources with site builders available, I use Coffee Cup software when I want to do a quick simple site in a few minutes but more recently have been using xsitepro - I can't recommend it highly enough - you can build an optimized website to your design very quickly and simply without using HTML - everything is menu driven and really really simple and you can even build a few hundred page website in a few minutes. A free version of HyperVRE is available –I’ve never used it but I have heard that there is embedded affiliate ID's in there which do not benefit you, however you build your website is not important – what is and what we will discuss is the correct way to structure your site in order to make it Search Engine Friendly and about how Google views and ranks it. Firstly lets think about Google – it raises its Ad revenues by ensuring that searches done on specific or non specific keywords relate to that subject as meaningful as possible. Search Engines {SE's} have become very wise to the methods that people have been using to try and get indexed quickly and the methods used, they have enormous resources both financially and in manpower which they fastidiously use to search out and locate these methods to try to stop them. Don’t for one minute think that they aren’t reading the same articles as you, using the same software and testing the strategies that you use so that they can insert programmes into their model to ensure that their service isn’t degraded. So if they see that overnight a new huge 1000 page website appears and is a frenzy of webtalk yet has no backlinks and no pagerank but they are getting blogged and pinged dozens of times then they immediately become suspicious and will issue a red flag and it won’t get indexed or will be buried very deep. It’s not difficult for them to figure out that a human being hasn’t posted those 1000 blogs in a day or that he can’t possibly have set up 500 links in a day – so they are starting to discount the relevance of them and will continue to do so to other new techniques that will no doubt be introduced in the future. Using some of these methods can actually harm your ranking – so beware!
The SE’s have to ensure that sites are content rich, are relevant and also have changing content. Why try to fight them? – why not just give them what they want. Backlinks are the number of webpages that link back to your site and links to high ranking web pages figure very highly to SE’s, if a site has such links then the robots will visit your site more regularly and this will improve your ranking. SE’s use very sophisticated algorithms to “calculate” the value of your backlinks – hence links to pages which themselves are highly ranked will weigh in your favour but they are also calculating other factors such as the text matching of the sites for relevance. The Se’s are going to ensure that only quality sites will get into the first 100 rankings –and why not – it’s important to them and their customers and to their future as an SE. Blogging and Pinging has become very popular and it is a sure way to get your site spidered – but it won’t be very high – I can assure you of that!. So it comes back to what I said at the beginning -why try to fight them – give them what they want and they will reward you handsomely. The time spent on building content rich websites with quality backlinks , getting them indexed manually and then continuing to build and enhance that site will pay dividends in the long run. Spend the time on quality now instead of following the internet herd and using the latest fad software - mass automation efforts etc etc. If you look at it from the perspective of a Search Engine instead of someone who is trying to use shortcuts and/or “black hat” methods then you will understand why they spend so much time and effort in trying to minimize the effects on their system that such methods have. Many of these methods that suddenly come to life also tend to die quite quickly as well – and it is a time consuming job trying to keep up with all the latest ideas and methods – I would much rather spend my time on building quality and have organic growth over a period of years to ensure maximum income. A BLUEPRINT TO SUCCESS So the essence of the plan is to develop a SE friendly website, based on selected keywords, with both on and off page optimization. A lot of people really baulk when they think about SE optimizing – there have been millions of web pages and book pages written about the subject – yet, in reality it is quite simple. As we are to going to build the website from scratch all we have to do is build in the necessary steps as we go along. Initially we are aiming to build a 4 to 5 page website, including the home page based on the niche we have selected. Lets say for instance that we are going to be covering “Dog Training – the Home page will cover Dog Training in general and the remaining four pages will be titled “Dog Training Courses”, “Dog Training Aids”, “Dog Training Ebooks” and “Training for Particular Breeds”. So here is how the website and its pages should be structured and in particular how the webpages should be linked to each other. Pay particular attention to the placing of keywords in the text and the keyword density of each article. It’s fairly simple and straightforward.
POINTS YOU MUST ADHERE TO:
1. The Home Page will have a keyword link to each of the 4 pages within the text of the article. 2. The Home Page keyword should be in the first sentence of the text and in the final sentence as well. 3. Each of the remaining four pages should have a keyword link to the next page, ie., pointing to the next article. There should never be a link pointing back to the previous or home page. 4. At the bottom of each page you should have a “Sitemap Link” which will simply list each Keyword target phrase of each page. Ie., Dog Training, Dog Training Courses, Dog Training Aids, Dog Training Ebooks and Training for Particular Breeds. You will notice that I have not called the index page “Home” – it must be the keyword phrase although you can put {Home} in brackets after the keyword link to help identify the home page. 5. Use a <H1> header tag which should be as far towards the top left hand side of the page as possible. When Google reads a webpage, it views the text from the top left hand side of the page, and then follows down to the bottom right hand side of the page. So, it’s best to place your <h1> header tag on the top left hand or top/middle portion of your page. You can think of an <h1> header tag as a title for whatever content you have on your page. For example, the <h1> header tag of the home page would have be <h1>”Dog Training”</h1> 6. Use a <h2> header tag - this should contain your 2nd most important keyword and should be placed somewhere towards the top half of your webpage. 7. Use <alt> image tags where necessary. Include a “Contact Us” link for the page menu – this is important since many of the automatically generated websites don’t include them and the SE’s are aware of this and it will stand you in good stead and enhance your credibility. 8. At this stage DO NOT put any Adsense code in your pages – design the pages with your preferred Adsense layout – the code is inserted only after you have submitted the site to the Directories.
If you use Xsite pro to build your site then all of the above is automatically done for you -you just have to provide the information re keywords, titles etc.

After you have been listed in the Directories of your choice and will be waiting to get crawled and indexed is the time to insert your code for your Adsense - the reasoning behind this is that you want your site to appear as an organic site and not one specifically to target Adsense. Some Directories will exclude you as they also want relevant content rich sites. There are some excellent ebooks available which cover Adsense in greater depth can than I can here. Brad Callen is a well respected author and expert in Adsense and you can buy “Adsense revenue Exposed at a discounted price here. A few of the basic tricks I use is to try and incorporate the ad into your page, if your page has a white background then have no background on the Adsense ad which will make it blend in and the links will be shown in blue. I have found that the right hand side of the page is the best place to have your ads, we read from left to right and our eyes generally rest at that side of the page and it just seems easier to click on the right than the left. Always try to have the ads above the “fold”, this is the portion of the page that appears on the screen initially without having to scroll down. At this stage you should be thinking about further ways to “monetize” your page. In this instance I would purchase an ebook with resell rights {there’s always some on Ebay}, rebrand it with my links and then offer it for sale on the page. If you want to build a list with an opt in form you could offer it free as an incentive to sign up. You should also have affiliate links so, for instance, I would Google for “Dog Training” sites and then check out three or four sites and join any affiliate programme they have – this income can quite often be of a higher value than your Adsense Revenue. If you are interested in List Building then use an opt in form on your site – you can build very large lists which you can then use to sell on to with third party products. Also use RSS feeds – just any way that you can possibly think of to increase the earning capacity of the page. In this way it is easily possible to earn $50 a day from your Site. On Page optimization, which we have covered above, is very important but is really only part of the story – it is Off Page which will make the real difference to your Rankings. We’ll start with the manual submission process – now you should have an optimized website of simple but good design, fast loading pages and good content. Firstly you will want to submit to Directories which are free – there are hundreds available – just google “search engine friendly directories” and you need to try and find ones that have a high page rank and do not need reciprocal links. Two of the most popular Directories are Yahoo and DMOZ however, these are paid inclusion and although not necessary they will help your ultimate plan to get a higher ranking if you don’t mind spending a few hundred dollars. The Directories, which are a categorized index of websites, will require you to be accurately listed in the correct category – most will let you do a keyword search and tell you which category is correct. If there are multiple categories then submit to them all – this may be a requirement. Remember, that since an editor or sub-editor will personally review your site you must ensure that all details, especially site descriptions, are accurate. Most Directories have different rules regarding the amount of text, keywords etc that you can insert so it is always a good idea to have a couple of lists of descriptions and descending order relevant keywords. Whilst some sites only allow as little as 10 keywords, some allow up to 200 so ensure you pay attention and choose wisely. During your keyword research you will probably have a text file of list of keywords and you should keep this handy. Create a text file into which you can cut and paste the sites so you know where and when you made a submission. It’s also a good idea to get a throwaway email address since you will need one for the submission process as you get a confirmation link to click through to verify your URL address. Firstly you will have all the emails regarding your submission in one place and secondly all the advertising bumph they send out regularly will be isolated too. Although this process is time consuming and rather tedious the amount of backlinks that it will produce is of great value and will produce quicker indexing and a higher page rank than Blogging and Pinging. Bear in mind that it is not unusual not to be admitted to some Directories, maybe as high as 20% to 30% will exclude you for various reasons, but the ones where you are listed will give a large boost to your ranking. So keep at it!! Remember it is most important that you Don’t 1. Use Automated Software to submit your Site 2. Submit your Site to more than 30 Directories in any 24 hr period. 3. Submit your Site more than once to any Directory 4. Submit to any Directories that aren’t themselves indexed {hence the Google search} 5. Within 10 days you should be indexed for all of your keywords and as you continue to build links back to your site you will start to climb higher in the rankings. Softlee Softlee – catchee monkey – as they say.
NOW IS THE TIME TO ADD YOUR ADSENSE CODE!! – the reason that you are doing it now is because you don’t want directory editors to reject your site thinking that it was only created as an adsense site – you will get more listings in this way. At this stage you should now be thinking of either using the articles you have on your Site, or writing specific articles on your niche and submitting them to Article Directories. Again, you are building more backlinks to your site which will further enhance your SERP. You may have been thinking that I am against the use of automated processes but actually I am a great believer in them but only in certain circumstances – AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM!!. There are many automatic article/content producing software packages available for a few dollars which are well worth buying – some of them are free – Article Page Machine is one I have used with some success and can be downloaded from HERE free of charge. In ideal circumstances your site will now be indexed and you should start to see the adsense revenue starting to come in – now you need to add one article every week to ten days {ie one web page} so that you are establishing organic growth and allow you to target more keywords. The SE’s absolutely love this activity and more importantly, for you, you will be spidered and indexed more quickly, your page ranking will increase and MOST importantly – Google will reward you by paying you more per Click – a fact that a lot of people are not aware of. For each added page just stick to the rules outlined here – only link to the next page and have the footer with your amended sitemap on {don’t forget this!} and a Contact Link. In this way after a year you should have at least 40 small websites, just lets say that you have some good earners and some not so good earners - so we’ll stick to the very conservative $10 a day – that’s $400 a day making $2,800 a week. Now that’s not only respectable but achievable!!
Project Evaluation
In order to be brutally honest in this report –let’s take a look at the downside – firstly part of each day must be spent in monitoring the Adsense earnings of each site because you will get some that just don’t make money – you can spend some time tweaking the ads by changing position, colours etc but if they still don’t earn you must ditch them and carry on with the plan. Don’t make a big fuss about it – nobody can get it right all the time just learn from it and move on. If you’ve kept to the strategy and have done 20 to 24 sites then consider for a moment the amount of time that you’re going to be spending in creating 24 articles each week and adding them into your sites, plus trying to research new niches then building new sites – you have some options here – you must be very very organized in your work and set very tight work schedules for all the projects each day or you can outsource some of the work. You decide, by that time you will have ascertained exactly how much the average website is earning for you and there are plenty of people looking for work on the web who can do some of the routine recurring work like submitting to directories. Likewise there are websites like http://www.elance.com/ where you can submit a brief for any articles you may need written and people will quote you for them but personally, with the amount of article sites and PLR available, I prefer to do my own. The continuing process of gaining backlinks is a project that could be farmed out and there are, again, plenty of people who do this work. If you think ahead to the 50th week you will now have in excess of 40 websites up and running and the admin and maintenance work will be quite intensive. I do like to think that these are problems you will enjoy having achieved and will show the success you have created but you must be realistic and re –invest some of your profits to shoulder the work. You may prefer to take on a member of Staff and then train them in the methods in which you operate which will allow you to concentrate on the important elements of niche research and the “monetization” of new and existing sites. In my many years of business and marketing experience I have attended many seminars covering a wide range of subjects but the two pieces of information that still stick in my mind are 1. Are you are working “IN” your business as opposed to “ON” your business – most small businesses suffer from this mainly due to under capitalisation and staffing – you can’t see the woods for the trees! And 2. What will your business be like when it’s finished – this is a question that you can ask 99% of business owners and they wouldn’t have a clue – they’ve never defined it . Try and be a thinker not a worker – hence working “on” not “in” your business. What I’m trying to say is that you have to start off in a professional manner and look at it as you would any business venture – the fact that you can start your business for a few hundred dollars is totally immaterial – start off right and it will keep you in good stead as your business grows and becomes more demanding.
Conclusion.
So there you have a blueprint which you can follow and from which you can make a generous living from the internet – it’s not particularly complex – if you’ve never had any experience of web site building or internet marketing experience there are a wide range of resources available on the Net to help you – it can be a steep learning curve at times - you just have to make the effort and have the desire to succeed - the key to success is “Plan your Work” then “Work your Plan”. Write down what you should be doing each day and have it in front of you and tick off jobs as they are completed. Be focused – it can be difficult at times – I have to be very disciplined as having subscribed to dozens of various info sites I regularly get 150 plus emails a day – many are rubbish but it takes time to sift through them and the amount of times that I go off to look at something I’m interested in and then go off at yet another tangent is frightening – I suddenly find that I’ve lost a couple of hours easily - don’t be distracted. I think that it would be fair to say that everybody involved in Internet Marketing has, at one time or another suffered from “Information Overload” – there is so much information available, so many people trying to get you signed up for one newletter – ezine etc that sometimes you don’t know which way to go forward. That’s why it’s important to decide on a way to start – have a plan and then religiously stick to it – that way you will succeed. Regularly review your work and what you have achieved. Don’t worry if some of your websites don’t produce enough revenue – dump them and go on to the next one – you won’t and can’t get it right every time. Don’t dwell on it. I’ve just spent time on an Adsense site which is very competitive market –I know that customers spend money on it and my research established that – I developed an Adwords campaign using an Affiliate product and launched it – I got over 160,000 page impressions - a really crap CTR rate and no sales – I spent a little time trying to tweak it but to no avail - I dumped it! - and moved on – you do the same. All you have to do is stick to the points I’ve told you about and keep at it – in time as you continue to build your Virtual Real Estate you will be rewarded. Good Luck.

A KEYWORD ELITE PROJECT
I have been using Keyword Elite for some time now and can’t praise it high enough but I have found this little gem of an idea that is absolutely brilliant and thought I’d add it to the book. For those of you who don’t know any thing about KE I’ll outline briefly how it can be used and then give you a practical and very powerful way that you can utilize it. This system differs slightly from the Adsense system above in that you will actually place an Adwords campaign and purchasing very cheap traffic to send to your Adsense site – It’s called “Arbitrage” and can generate substantial income but only if you do it right!! KE has a number of powerful features, firstly you can type in any keyword that you wish to research and it will go to the search engines and return you a list of relevant keywords {as many as 10,000 if you wish} which can be exported to MS Excel and then sieved. You can then analyse any or all of those keywords for PPC competition. This is very valuable information as you can see below and will tell you instantly all the relevant information for each keyword even down to how many Google adwords campaigns are being conducted for each keyword.

The interesting thing here is to note from the diagram above that there are a large number of keywords that have searches being conducted but have no results – why? – because there’s no webpages for that keyword. So simply put, create a web page optimized for that keyword – monetize it and then more importantly when you set up your adwords campaign you bid just 1cent for each keyword – there’s nobody else bidding on it so you’ll get it at the cheapest price – {The table is edited from the large initial keyword list of over 2,000 words just to show that some of the searches are reasonably significant numbers, often in excess of 1,000} However, let me clarify what the whole exercise is about. You are acquiring N/A results with the highest amount of searches made by users. Creating and having your new content indexed gives you the top and in most cases the only page indexed under the respective keyword or keyword phrase. Now, as for CPC and CTRs; this is an exercise where we are looking for the highest CPC and the highest CTRs relative to creating content that is highly sought after. In this exercise, it does not matter what the amount of results are. In the past webmasters would have cringed at the amount of search results found and thought, “I will never get my page seen.” But this system shows you how you can do it. What we do here is do a sort for the highest CTRs and highest CPCs. Each time we do this, we export to a csv file. We then import into a spreadsheet program. When we feel we have a good list of all our words we want to create content for, we then save just the column with the keywords in it . We keep the spreadsheet of course, but copy and paste the data into a text file for just the words using notepad. Now you can create a new project using the keywords you’ve found and have a highly proficient website. One created around all of the most sought after information (high CTRs) and a very profitable website with content created around high CPC keywords. Plus you are now getting the most traffic from all the highest N/A searched results at the cheapest price. Do a sort for all the keywords that cost the most to bid on. Create a website around these keywords and create content with all your affiliate links embedded in the keywords on your website content targeted around the products you want to sell. When you are setting up your keyword campaigns, one for each product, make the url point to the pages with the highest pay per click ads. What does it do? First you reel in cheap traffic at a penny per click to attempt to sell your affiliate products. Secondly, if they don’t go for it, at least they will click on all your most expensive ads that are based on the same products you are selling. This happens, because the parent company who has developed the products you are an affiliate to, will show up on your webpages based on keywords, title, and content. You make money here. Now all you have to do is take your entire list and start advertising on all the other penny per click ad networks, MSN, Enhance, Yahoo etc etc. Send all that penny per click traffic to your pages that sell all your related products and have the most highest bid ads based on your affiliate products. The very least is you will be getting paid at least 20 cents per click and have driven in traffic from other ad networks. Since you are using another ad network to drive traffic to a page with affiliate links in the content, what can Google say? You are not leveraging their own network against them, but actually bring new fresh traffic from other ad networks. They love this! You love this, because it costs you a whole penny per visitor on a specific keyword related search (exact phrase ad network keyword bids only) and if they buy you get paid $40 and up on commissions. Or they click the highest Google PPC Ads and you get 20 cents. That’s 2000% ROI by the way. Just try and get that in the stock market or real estate. Sure you will get people coming and doing nothing. This is where you analyze each keyword and see if it is bringing you money or grief. It will be easy, since the keywords that go for a penny are definitely slow moving traffic flow, but this is where you shine. Just look at the numbers - if you have 10K of these words. even one click every second day will bring you 5K in visitors at only $50 and you will profit at least one sales conversion every 200 visitors. That’s like paying only 2$ for ad clicks and making $40 to $80 in return. In reality I have found that by pasting in 1500 odd keywords over three or four campaigns and setting the bid at 0.01c you will find that some are made “inactive” until you up the bid – how can this be so if there is no competition for these keywords – don’t worry about it – there are some reasons why which are a bit complicated to go into right now – either up your bid or just delete the keywords – run them for a week and then evaluate which keywords are performing best and then tweak accordingly. You might average out at say 2, 3 or 4cents but that is real cheap traffic. This is really exciting stuff and I’m working on it right now and will probably end up releasing more information as time allows. It goes to show you how powerful KE is and I’ve barely touched the surface here of what it can do for you – another powerful feature is you can select keywords and then it will show you all the Adwords campaigns that are actually running and you can then set up a scheduler to check on them a couple of times each day over a period of say, two weeks. In this way you can find out who is persistently advertising – this shows that they are making money and it’s a successful ad campaign – go off and just duplicate it – they’ve done all the hard work. It’s these automation processes that allow you to manipulate large keyword list and then analyse them to give you relevant and highly accurate information on which to act. You could do most of it manually but it would take you days and days.
If you are really interested in how to maximize the potential of Adwords and Adsense and seriously make money then I suggest you purchase Keyword Elite and do consider Xsitepro, to build your sites then study the Videos and put the information to work for you!!
